Quince is secretly selling the most premium, yet affordable suitcases on the market

You all know how much I love traveling to new destinations, but packing for a weeklong trip (and then moving from location to location) for a family of four can be a real source of stress, even for a Type-A, super-organized personality like myself!

Quince’s Hardshell Suitcases - which I recently picked up in advance of our latest UK travels, have not only reduced this headache, I have found that they surprisingly have made this part of traveling, actually enjoyable!  After 10 days of carting these suitcase around, I have discovered that Quince has - once again - made it possible to purchase super high-quality, functional items (similar to Monos, Away) at half the price of other brands!

  • Quality [5 stars] Quince doesn’t sacrifice on quality for its suitcases.  In fact, all Quince suitcases are required to pass a series of durability tests in production before they are allowed to be sold!  They tick all of the boxes for functionality and durability, while weighing 6-10 pounds!  Quince’s limited lifetime warranty also helps to ensure that these are investments that will last.
  • Value [5 stars]  Priced at $129 to $179 (depending on size), these suitcases have all of the features you’d want in a premium suitcase.
  • Customer Experience [5 stars] Ordering from Quince’s website was super easy, and I received delivery updates at every stage of the fulfillment process.  I received my order - packaged beautifully within a branded dust bag - in XX days!
  • Brand [5 stars]  As with all of their products, Quince leverages its direct-to-manufacturer model here to minimize inventory holding costs and discounting, and ultimately be able to offer high-quality goods at radically low prices.

As any parent knows, it is important to be prepared for anything when you go on a trip! I knew I needed suitcases that offered both accessibility and met my space requirements, so I went with the 21” Hardshell Carry-On (great for storing frequently-accessed kids items, like our tech items, necessities and books, in the airplane overhead compartments) and 27” Hardshell Check-In (for packing 10 days worth of clothes!) for our trip to London and Paris. Although Quince’s Hardshell suitcases come in a wide variety of fun colors, I chose the black for its sleek, minimalistic design. I also really liked the new Olive color!

THANKS TO QUINCE, I SPENT MORE ON TRAVEL – NOT ON LUGGAGE

While the look of the luggage is certainly important, what ultimately makes or breaks a suitcase for me is its functionality.  Given the low price point of these bags ($129 for the carry-on and $179 for the check-in), I was worried the durability and quality might not stand up to that of other premium luggage brands, like Away or Beis.  But after using them, I can attest - these Quince suitcases are just as good, if not even better!

Here are some of my favorite features:

Packing Capability / Compression Pad

The 21” Hardshell was the perfect size for a carry-on - large enough to house necessities that I didn’t want to check (2-3 days worth of extra clothes, sweaters for the plane, and all of our family’s prescription meds) while compact enough to easily fit in the overhead compartment - a luxury these days!

For the Check-In Suitcase, I was shocked at the amount of stuff I was able to fit into the 27”: by using several packing cubes, I was able to pack 10 outfits and 2 pairs of shoes (with two people sharing a suitcase) for my family.  In the event that you need a bit more room, Quince also offers an Expandable version of the Hardshell as well, which provides an incremental 1” extra expansion.

I found the compression pad particularly useful in ensuring we were getting the most out of the space!  The mesh pocket on the compression pad was perfect for storing my son’s small, but important items, like his special animals, journal and sound machine.  And the laundry bag was great for keeping our dirty clothes separated throughout the trip!

Spinner Wheels

You can tell a lot about a suitcase’s quality by how easily the wheels glide across different surfaces!  These 360 degree spinner wheels move silently and smoothly on concrete roads, airport carpeted floors and even cobblestone pathways, navigating back and forth without any damage.  The wheels have also passed a rigorous offroading test: my son riding the suitcase around the house like a buggy.  He loves the ultra-smooth ride!

Hardshell Case

I’ve recently switched from using a softshell to hardshell case - I can’t believe it has taken me so long to make the switch!  Quince’s hardshell suitcases are made of German Bayer Makrolon® polycarbonate, which means they are built to withstand rain, dust, and rough handling, but are also super light and easy to lift into the overhead compartment (6.7 pounds for the carry-on)! Even after shuffling on and off trains, planes and automobiles it held up beautifully.

QUALITY PROMISE

Quince works with some of the most preeminent luggage factories who produce for many of the top luggage brands around the world - to manufacture the brand’s suitcases.   These vendors have been in the luggage business for over 20 years, and are experts at securing the best design, construction, and materials, so you know you’ll be getting the highest-quality items in the industry.  Quince also offers a limited lifetime warranty for its suitcases, for any unexpected defect issues that result from use.

When it comes to purchasing a new suitcase, there’s always the question of - is the investment worth it?  The answer for the Quince suitcase is: Absolutely yes.

If you're in the market for new luggage, I genuinely can't recommend Quince enough. These suitcases offer exceptional value, combining style, functionality, and durability. Plus, they're 50-70% off competitor prices! With their sleek design, smart features, and impressive quality, Quince suitcases have become an essential part of our family's travel adventures.
