A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to stay with Timberline Glamping for a few nights. This is not our first time glamping, but our first time doing it at Lake Lanier. I loved that we got a good bit of privacy and a little cove all to ourselves. We stayed at #15 if you were interested in our specific campsite.
Our tent had two queen size beds with air conditioning and heating. The tent is built on a platform so you still get the great outdoors you are just a bit more comfortable when it comes to sleeping and space. They had everything set up for us upon arrival including hammocks, firewood, and ridiculously good whiskey caramel s'mores.
We didn't make any plans for our trip to the surrounding area. We just enjoyed playing, hiking by the lake, cooking food over the fire, and collecting nature treasures. It was amazing how much fun my boys had exploring and just creating games around the tent. It was such a peaceful little retreat.
The sunsets were spectacular and since we went in early October the weather was mild and ideal for camping. We thought it was a very quiet campground as well. The whole area was pretty spread out and the amenities and restroom were very well-kept.
If you are interested in planning a trip, here is a link to their website. We were in campsite #15 but all of them looked so lovely! Would be great for families, couples, or friends.
