I had my heart set on a Robin Bruce sofa called the Sylvie and the sectional specifically was what my heart was set on. We tried and tried to measure it out in different ways for our space, but with the open floor plan and the shape of our room, it was just too tight. I still loved the whole look and craftsmanship of the Robin Bruce Sylvie so we ended up going with the brand and style.Now enter Fowler Brothers. I was on Instagram one day and someone had shared a giveaway for a sectional from a local furniture shop. I went over to check it out and was so drawn to the local feel and care of the owner Carter Fowler displayed on Instagram. We ended up taking a trip up to Chattanooga to shop their furniture and he helped us customize the sofa of our dreams with the perfect configuration for our lifestyle. It was honestly such a pleasant shopping experience. Carter became a family friend instantly and their staff was so kind and helpful with the boys while we looked over the store. They also have so many beautiful pieces I have my eyes on for the future.Carter educated us so well on all the fabric options and which would suit our lifestyle the best with kids and a little pup at the time. We ended up going with a bright cream in a Crypton fabric and then we ordered a separate denim slipcover to go over it half the year to give it a moodier tailored feel. It gave us the best of both worlds and was exactly what I wanted.Fast forward a few weeks later and our dream couch was delivered! We are so in love. It's always hard to know if you are going to love a piece in your home as much as you love it in the store, but truthfully I love it even more.You may be thinking, how does white work with kids? Well, the Crypton fabric is basically magic material, haha. Read more about it here. We've even had a few spills already and it's come right off!We ordered our slipcover after the couch was delivered and it will be in sometime in the new year. We'll be able to show you how the room transforms with a simple fabric change then. The forthcoming slipcover is machine washable, so not Crypton, and is easy to care for. We previously had a slipcovered sofa and I loved the flexibility of being able to wash it when needed.It's been the perfect piece for our family and fits our life perfectly. I can't recommend Fowler Brothers enough.
